Last Wednesday, Canberra Grammar School was delighted to host the Beijing National Day School’s Principal, Mr Xigui Li, and three BNDS Vice-Principals. The visit forms part of a School Partnership Agreement signed in 2003, and is just one of many exchange visits that has been organised between the BNDS and CGS over the past years.
BNDS has over 4,100 students and offers a diverse range of international academic programmes, similar to CGS, including an offering of A-Levels, the AP Dual Diploma Programme, and the IBDP Programme. Students live both on-campus and off-campus with dormitories being provided for both domestic and international students.
BNDS has played host to many exchange teachers and students from our School, with the most recent activity occurring earlier this year with the CGS Primary School students and teachers visiting the BNDS Affiliated Primary School. In 2016, CGS has been fortunate to host BNDS staff and students twice with the first visit by the BNDS Affiliated Primary School staff in January 2016, and the second visit by the BNDS Principal, Mr Xigui Li, in May 2016.
BNDS’ visit to CGS was greatly rewarding with discussions occurring on the application of technology in teaching and learning in Australia, subjects taught in the senior years, teaching pedagogy, and extra-curricular training and management.
CGS thanks BNDS Principal, Mr Xigui Li and the BNDS Vice-Principals for their exchange visit.
