Bishop Allan Ewing has recently returned to Canberra after serving as the Anglican Bishop of Bunbury (2010 – 2017). Allan was ordained as a deacon in the Diocese of Canberra and Goulburn in 1987 and priest the following year. Bishop Allan was consecrated as bishop in 2004 to serve as assistant in the Diocese of Canberra Goulburn.
He has served in rural, urban and city parishes in New South Wales and the ACT as well as in Western Australia. Bishop Allan’s sons are Old Boys of Canberra Grammar School where they were boarders. Bishop Allan has significant experience serving in the capacity of both Visitor to the School and a Board Member of Anglican Schools in both Western Australia and New South Wales.
Bishop Allan prior to entering the ministry had trained as a Chartered Accountant and is a retired member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
