CGS Community Development Office
When members of the School community are asked what Canberra Grammar School offers, answers always include ‘opportunity’. Our Community Development team (formerly known as Educational Outreach/Community Relations) is dedicated to providing innovative, exciting and engaging opportunities to benefit the entire School community.
Canberra Grammar School provides opportunities and then some. We aim to further our reputation that Canberra Grammar School is a distinctive centre of learning.
Community Development is the conduit through which we engage, support, collaborate, innovate and provide even more opportunity for our students to be leaders of the next century.
Community Development seeks mutually beneficial relationships to fulfill the intellectual, spiritual, cultural, social and physical aspirations of our community and those we partner with.
Recent initiatives include partnering with the Australian National University to develop and host the popular Jazz in the Gallery series, working with Desert Discovery Incorporated to undertake scientific research in the Gibson Desert through to expanding our relationship with the Beijing National Day School in China to strengthen our links in a fast emerging world power.
Canberra Grammar School is committed to initiating dialogue with people in like minded organisations to strengthen our offer to students, staff and parents.
