Sport
SPORT
The Sports element enables students from Years 3-6 to develop their physical skills while representing the School in season-based competitive sports.
All students from Year 3 are required to represent the School in a core sport during the year. Sports include Cricket, Football, Rugby, Squash, Triathlon, Basketball and Orienteering.
MUSIC
Music is tremendously important part of Canberra Grammar School as we recognise that an appreciation of music is a source of enduring pleasure that will last a lifetime.
Music is integral to the daily life of the Primary School, with all students singing as part of a choir during the course of the School day. We encourage students to learn an instrument, and offer a range of choral and instrumental ensembles.
Subsidised tuition is available to enable experimentation and confidence building in order to jump-start learning in a selection of instruments.
HORIZON
The Horizons element develops life-long skills and builds passions in a wide range of activities. Responsive to the interests of students and expertise of staff, students are encouraged to discover hidden talents and build skills for life in a wide range of options from chess, to debating, to self-defence.
ADVENTURE
An extensive outdoor, environmental and international tour programme engages students from Years 3-6 in challenging and exciting adventures. As well as learning new skills, friendships are nurtured, social interactions guided and respect for individuality and diversity enhanced.
