This week we had our first in a Lunchtime Recital series that gives Year 12 music students a chance to perform in front of an audience. Students and staff are invited to attend and bring their lunch for a great show!
A small group of Canberra Grammar School students were fortunate enough to be in attendance at the National Press Club yesterday, to hear a speech from Australian of the Year Grace Tame. Our School Captain Umi was also able to ask Grace a question, during a post-speech Q&A.
It’s very exciting to hear @CanberraGrammar Music bouncing back bigger and better - louder and prouder! - after 2020. Thanks to #CGSMusic team and hundreds of #CGSMusicians for invitation to morning rehearsals. Such an uplifting way to start the day.
Congratulations to Year 9 student Elise who is achieving big things in Touch Footy. This past weekend, she represented the ACT U/16 Girls team at the Touch Football NSW Junior State Cup. Her team made it all the way to the Grand Final narrowly losing 8-7 in a nail-biter.
How good is a non-virtual Open Day! We were delighted to be able to show our School to parents and students today. We hope this is just the start of a wonderful adventure at Canberra Grammar School
Another glorious day by the lake and another great day for #CGSRowing!! Thanks to ACT Rowing for the invitation to join principals in presenting awards at the ACT Head of the Lake. Congrats to all; well done and big thanks to all behind the @CanberraGrammar surge!
It was great to finally welcome parents back to CGS Northside for the Year 2 Welcome Assembly. Not only that, it was also Dr Webster’s first Northside assembly! It was enjoyable to catch up with friends and celebrate the start of a new school year with the students.
Last year, Year 12 students Angus W and Rhea S were selected to represent the ACT as candidates for the Australian team at the 17th International Geography Olympiad. It is with great pleasure that we can now announce that Rhea has been selected in the Australian team! #congrats
It was great to sit down with our Japanese counterparts, to discuss the challenges of education continuity through COVID-19. While we haven’t been able to visit our friends and neighbours, it has been important and valuable to remain in touch through other means.
Congratulations to Eliot C and Riley B who have both been invited to join the squad for the GWS Giants Development Academy!
CGS Dragon Boaters having a great day on the lake! #CGSSport @CanberraGrammar @JAGarrick
A good win by the CGS U14 girls waterpolo this morning at Stromlo #CGSSports @CanberraGrammar @JAGarrick
