Two Year 10 students, Zara and Stan, have departed Australia for Scotland, where they will take part in an 8-week cricket exchange at Strathallan School. While the Strathallan cricket exchange has been a long-standing and valued opportunity at CGS, this year marks a historic milestone, with Zara becoming our first female student to participate in the programme.
We wish our talented cricketers, Zara and Stan, the very best of luck and look forward to hearing about their adventures, both on and off the cricket pitch! ... See MoreSee Less
Curious. Creative. Confident. Compassionate. Citizens of the world.
Five Cs for our students to grow into.

This morning, we gathered as a community before dawn broke over the Historic Quad for our School’s annual Anzac Day Dawn Service.
At the centre was the Roll of Honour. Thirty-three names from across the First and Second World Wars, Vietnam and Afghanistan. Each one read into the morning air, each one woven through the past 97 years of the School, and still part of who we are today.
A community shaped by those who came before us, and committed to carrying their legacy forward, together.
Lest we forget. ... See MoreSee Less
Over the holidays, the CGS Rugby Opens Programme held a four day culture camp for its 1st XII Girls, 1st XV and 2nd XV Boys teams. These sessions have been running for the past five years and provide an important foundation in setting the standards and values that have become synonymous with the CGS Rugby Programme.
The camp included classroom-based culture sessions, and students also heard from guest speakers such as Director of Co-Curricular Education Mr Jaime Fernandez, who spoke about how an elite sport mindset is relevant to the life of a student. Director of Business, Mr Kent Peters, also presented on the importance of culture and the reasoning behind the School’s values. On the field, students had the opportunity to train under ACT Brumbies coaches, including Head Coach Stephen Larkham and assistant coaches Dan Hooper, John Ulugia and Ben Mowen. The Programme was further enriched by the involvement of Fijian Drua Head Coach Glen Jackson and assistant coach Tim Sampson. To close out the camp, the Fijian Drua invited students to attend their captain’s run, concluding with Drua presenting a jersey to our School. ... See MoreSee Less
