As part of CGS’ 𝑃𝑖 𝐷𝑎𝑦 celebrations, our Year 10 and Year 6 students came together in teams to tackle a host of math-based activities and challenges! Students participated in a scavenger hunt looking for, and measuring, circular objects around the School, then calculating pi based on their measurements. They then enjoyed math-based card games and board games, as well as some math-based art. It was a wonderful opportunity to bring our Primary and Senior students together and learn about pi in a fun and engaging way, while also providing a valuable mentoring opportunity to our older students.Image attachmentImage attachment+3Image attachment

Our Year 8 students participated in ‘Smashed’ last week, an engaging and thought-provoking workshop designed to explore the topic of risk-taking behaviours, with a particular focus on underage drinking.

This workshop forms part of our Wellbeing programme, which aims to support students in developing their social and emotional capabilities by helping them understand real-life situations where these skills are required to make informed and responsible choices.

A big thank you to Smashed Australia for sharing their expertise and engaging our students in such an important conversation.
