Kent Peters became Director of Business at Canberra Grammar School in 2018. Prior to this he had been Bursar/CFO at Guildford Grammar School in Perth from 2007 – 2017, and Bursar at Whanganui Collegiate School (NZ) 2005 – 2007. Kent is a Chartered Accountant with an MBA in Human Resource Management and also has theological qualifications. He has previously worked as a Senior Associate in a Chartered Accountancy practice, General Manager of Fish Exporting Company, and also as a Pastor.
Kent has over 18 years experience as a Senior Executive in Education and is passionate about being able to support the School in the broadest sense. He has significant experience in working collaboratively to implement innovative, results-orientated solutions and in delivering significant capital projects. Kent enjoys being fully involved in the life of the School and has an active involvement in both the Chapel and also in the co-curricular life of the School particularly in Rugby and Rowing. Kent is originally from New Zealand, moved to Australia in 2007 to take up the role at Guildford Grammar School. Kent has two adult sons (one a graduate of Canberra Grammar School). Kent was recognised in 2022 as the CommBank School Business Manager of the Year for a School of over 1,500 students. He is also currently serving as the President of Rowing ACT. |
